Christie - Veterinary Assistant

I have had a love for animals since childhood, and my fondest memories were playdates with my friends cats and dogs.

My love for animals became infinite to the point where I would bring home pets without my parents permission. Safe to say, I’m a proud mother of 3 cuddly cats (Portokali, Thor, and Snowball) and a lovely dog (Riley) whom I love unconditionally! My interest in veterinary medicine began when I observed my first surgery volunteering at an animal hospital, and my passion for the field continues to grow each day. I currently have 6 years of experience as a veterinary assistant, and have had the privilege of working with cats, dogs and exotics. I have a Bachelors in Science in Biology, Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Elmhurst University, and am currently pursuing to earn my CVT license.

I began working at Companion of Norridge August of 2023, and it’s true what they say: teamwork makes the dream work! The positive relationships each staff member has with their clients is what I love most about working at Companion. In my free time, I love going to the movies, spending time with my loved ones, going on cruises and pet sitting.
